Who we are

The Turquoise Dot is Singapore's Turkish and Turkic tech and research community, run by a small volunteer team and currently registering as a Society in Singapore. Questions about this notice go to turquoisedotsg@gmail.com. Once registration is complete, this page will name the registered Society and its data protection contact.

Event registration

Registration runs on Luma, which has its own privacy policy. From Luma we receive your name and email address and, when a venue requires it for building access, your affiliation and mobile number. We use these to run the event, to pass access details to the venue host for that event only, and to tell you about the next deep dive. You can unsubscribe from Luma emails at any time.

Partnership interest form

The form on the Sponsors page asks for your name, work email, company, role, what interests you, and an optional message. Responses are stored in a Google Form and Sheet in the community's Google account, are seen only by the core team, and are used only to reply to you about partnerships. We delete them when they are no longer needed for planning the programme.

Photos and video

We take photos and short clips at our events and publish some of them on this website and on our LinkedIn and X accounts, preferring stage and crowd shots. If you would rather not appear, tell a team member at the door. If you find yourself in a published photo and want it removed, write to us and we will take it down from the site.

Website analytics

This site uses GoatCounter to count visits. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data; we only see page counts, countries, and referring sites.

Third-party services on this site

Fonts are served from this site itself. The Sponsors page embeds a Google Form and event pages link to Luma; each of those services has its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies when you use it.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent to further emails at any time by writing to turquoisedotsg@gmail.com. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone outside the core team and the venue host for a given event.
